As far as on-off relationships go, Nick Tilsley and Leanne Battersby wrote the instruction manual.
From their first wedding as teens, through affairs, secret marriages, paternity tests and – most recently – the tragic death of little Oliver, Nick and Leanne are no strangers to drama.
And their Christmas wedding in 2012 was dripping with the stuff!
Back in 2010, Leanne was with Peter Barlow but having an affair with Nick. When the tram crash rocked the Street, though, Peter was badly injured and Leanne married him in hospital, thinking he was about to pop his clogs.

Peter survived, but the marriage didn’t – because Mr Barlow cheated with Carla (are you keeping up?) and by the summer of 2012, Leanne and Nick were together again and planning their Christmas wedding.
Shortly before the big day, though, who arrived back in the Street but Peter? His arrival reminded Leanne that she still wasn’t over him. And so, on the morning of her wedding, she sneaked off to his flat and declared her love. As sister Eva said, she “offered him first refusal”. But when Carla showed up, Leanne changed her mind – again – and decided to marry Nick after all.
At their beautiful wintry ceremony, Leanne’s envious sister, Eva, stood up and told everyone where Leanne had been that morning.
Furious Nick called off the wedding, and Leanne was left heartbroken.
Meanwhile, Nick headed to the honeymoon suite where he spent the night with his sister-in-law Kylie. More drama was just around the corner!
