Meena in Emmerdale is a manipulative madam who will do anything to get what she wants, that much is clear. But this week she’s going to take things to another level when she kills one of the villagers. Who could the victim be? Soap superfan and Soapbox contributor Jess Newbold takes us through Meena’s potential targets.
1. Jacob Gallagher
Jacob is the obvious choice for Meena in Emmerdale to kill. He is the one standing in the way of her getting what she ultimately wants, which is having David all to herself. We know he doesn’t like her but might he realise that she was the one who stole the Pride money and tried to frame him? Might she kill him in order to keep him quiet?
2. Leanna Cavanagh
I find it hard to believe that it could be Leanna, especially because Meena seems to be getting rid of her so that Jacob would go with her. But might Leanna discover that Meena is out to destroy Jacob? And if she did, could she ultimately pay with her life?
3. David Metcalfe
David seems to be retreating from Meena. David has always put his children first and Meena hates that. Could she lash out in a fit of jealousy?
4. Victoria Sugden
Victoria and Meena’s paths haven’t crossed much in Emmerdale until this week when she grows closer to David after a play date with their sons. What could Meena do to the woman who, in her eyes, is trying to take her boyfriend away from her?
5. Diane Sugden
Diane has already felt uneasy around Meena after the nurse spun her a story about a friend killing herself and then told her never to tell anyone. If Diane mentions her odd chat with Meena to Victoria – or even David – could Meena decide to take her out before she became a liability?
Soapbox extra: We hate Jamie Tate!
We reckon there are plenty of other people in the village who need to watch their backs too. Andrea, perhaps, or Rishi. And definitely poor little Princess , who’s already been on the receiving end of Meena’s evil tricks. We are convinced that whoever Meena kills this week won’t be her last victim. And we can’t wait to see what she does next.
