We knew there was more to Coronation Street’s creepy Jade than meets the eye. She’s been busy turning Hope against mum Fiz, driving a wedge between Fiz and Tyrone, and generally causing a whole load of trouble for the cute Dobbs/Stape family.
And in last night’s Corrie we found out why when Jade went to visit a grave. It turns out Jade is evil John Stape‘s daughter!
As Jennie McAlpine, who plays Fiz, said on Twitter: “Oh bloomin eck. John Stape.!”
Serial killer John was married to Fiz and he’s Hope’s dad, which makes Jade Hope’s half-sister. But after a murder spree around the cobbles – and a couple of kidnappings – he died in a car accident.

But it seems he’s left a legacy in the shape of disturbed daughter, Jade, who’s clearly out for some sort of twisted revenge on Fiz.
It was a massive twist at the end of last night’s second episode, but not all the Corrie viewers were on board.
Some of them did the maths and worked out John must have been a teenager when Jade was born.
One fan said it wasn’t realistic and that Jade should have been John’s sister, rather than his daughter. While another pointed out that Fiz and John had been teen sweethearts before rekindling their romance as adults – would Fiz have noticed if he’d got another girl pregnant?
Others were dubious about how coincidental it was that Fiz just happened to take Hope to a school in the midlands where her former husband’s long-lost daughter worked.
“It’s a bit of a stretch,” said one viewer, while another said it was “far-fetched”.
Others pointed out that with Steve finding out Emma was his daughter, plus Roy discovering his long-lost brother recently, the secret relatives are coming thick and fast in Coronation Street. 
But not everyone was disappointed with the reveal.
“Loving the Fiz/Tyrone/Evelyn?Jade story,” gushed one fan.
