Alfie interrupting Kat and Andy’s wedding – The Graduate style – to declare his love for Kat was a classic EastEnders moment. But even then it wasn’t all plain sailing for the happy couple. As they planned their Christmas Day wedding, Alfie discovered to his shock that he was actually still married to ex-wife Liza. Oops.

As the wedding day dawned, Alfie cancelled the registrar and instead roped in his mate (played by David Walliams) to hold a fake ceremony. Fortunately for Mr Moon, before Kat got wind of his plan, his decree absolute arrived, the real registrar was tracked down and convinced to leave his Christmas dinner, and Kat and Alfie tied the knot.
